How many times has your child said they can’t or won’t use a planner, but you know they need one?
They can’t keep up with what their work is, can’t track when it is due, miss appointments, and are generally disorganized. They say it’s not helpful. It’s too annoying. This is because they don’t have a planner that works for them. Put simply, they don’t see the point.

Your child needs a planner that has more functionality than merely tracking due dates, which they can usually just find online. They need a planner that actually props up their Executive Functioning, encourages routines so they actually use it, and allows them to see that getting their work done can be manageable and align with their goals. Or, more realistically, they need a planner that easily works for them and that they are willing to use.

Most academic planners only have basic functionality. They only promote task awareness (keeping track of what is due), but don’t prompt the executive functioning skills required to actually do the work. Our planner is different, it will help your child cultivate the exact skills and strategies needed to keep track of their work and to get it in on time without so much stress and avoidance.
