Many people assume that Executive Functioning is intuitive. We understand that it is not.

The notion that Executive Functioning (EF) comes naturally is misleading. It can be difficult to keep track of everything, meet deadlines, stay organized and motivated without stress or procrastination. EF skills are implied throughout life, but are rarely explicitly taught. That is why we strive to support smart, capable, and curious individuals who are struggling.

Importantly, individuals with low EF are often wrongly perceived as unreliable, lazy, or apathetic. These misconceptions can lead to feelings of shame, insecurity, or isolation. Those with low EF may also have ADHD, learning differences, anxiety, and depression that fuels their self perception and these negative feelings. And because the way we think and feel affects our ability to engage, we utilize our unique methodology: EFCT.

Here’s what you need to know.

Who we support

Students. Parents. Young Adults. Adults.

Executive Functioning affects each of us in our own way no matter our age or where we are in life. That is why we support intelligent, creative, interesting people who have friends, hobbies, and in many ways are successful. But they struggle with EF for reasons often related to ADHD and neurodivergence, anxiety and depression, and learning differences. They often exist within a vicious cycle of avoidance and procrastination, inconsistent motivation, and disorganization that drives shame and insecurity. We are here to help.

Our Unique Methodology

Executive functioning cognitive training

Our methodology sets us apart. We know that the symptoms of low EF, the disorganization, the missed deadlines, the avoidance and the procrastination, both affect and are affected by our mental health. It is for this reason that we apply a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to our unique methodology: Executive Functioning Cognitive Training (EFCT). EFCT allows us to unpack deeper issues around low motivation, apathy and avoidance in order to create strategies that bring about the changes needed for engagement and ultimately greater self-awareness and self-esteem.
